Ash's life has been far from normal over the past couple of months. In the span of one week, she had gone from Wage Slave college student to The Chosen One to slay the Deadite Army and everything after that seemed to be a spin off.

Figures as much. You have one traumatic incident in an abandoned cabin and life keeps throwing punches at you. Including losing your hand and a sudden trip back to 1300.

But hey, there were plus sides. Like finding the love of your life when you accidentally tripped in the supply closet.

Of course, Sheila doesn't know that.

"You never got to ride in my car, did you?"

She giggles. "Why hide thine face, m'lady? Is this upsetting?"

"No no no, not upsetting. Just a bit embarrassing for me."

Ash Williams, everyone. Chosen One and the defeater of Deadites and she's blushing at being called 'Wonder Woman'. Most girls would take it as a compliment.

"Mine apologies, Ashley. I did not mean to embarrass thee in such a manner." Slight pout.

Ash sighs. There's that pout she can't say no to. "Don't apologize, Sheila."

"To thee I must." Don't argue with that logic.

She's going to anyway. "Who says?"

"Well." Blink.

"I do, m'lady?"

Now it's Sheila's turn to get flustered.

"After all - thou art the Chosen One whom I am forever in debt to."

Ash feels a pang of guilt when she says that. Everything from her getting captured by her evil twin to leaving her behind. Sheila shouldn't have to be in her debt, but Ash knows that Sheila can just as stubborn as her when she wants to be.

"Look, babe, I just don't want you to feel like you have to apologize for every little thing."

"Well." Sheila clears her throat. "If that is thien wish - then it shall be. I will no longer apologize for every little thing." She pouts, trying to pull the sympathy card, but she definitely means what she says.

Ash smiles a tiny bit, her metal hand tugging at the hem of her shirt. "Good."

And now she has no idea what the hell to say next. You're beautiful. I love you. What?

"Look, I've been off the clock for a little bit now. Can we get out of the S-Mart parking lot?"

Smooth.

"Where is it that we are going, m'lady?" Sheila asks, eyes wide with curiosity. After all, this place is strange and new to her. She hasn't the slightest idea herself!

PS. She's definitely waiting for you to open the passenger door for her.

"...My apartment?" Ash says, kind of unsure if that's the right answer. It's been a long day for her, but it probably wasn't that courteous to just leave Sheila hanging like that. "Unless you want the driving tour of Dearborn first."

She pops the driver's side door handle open with her good hand and swings it open for her. "You first."

Sheila gives her that bright smile, lifting her skirts just enough to scoot past and slide into the car without much difficulty. "That would be wonderful, I think. This is thine land - I am but a visitor."

Ash slams the door and rounds around to her side of the car, taking off her work shirt and revealing the blue sweater under it. She opens her door and tosses her shirt in the backseat. It takes a couple of slams for the door to close properly. "Okay...driving tour, then home. Maybe a food stop on the way?"

She's paying attention. Really. It's just that she's never been inside a car before and everything is positively fascinating. Here's to rolling the window up and down! And peering out the side. And touching things she probably shouldn't be touching in the first place. Like messing with the mirrors. "Of course, Lady Ashley!"

Ash tries her best not to let out an exasperated sigh as she readjusts the rear view mirror. She reminds herself to be patient with her since she's about 700 years from home right about now.

She starts up the car and begins backing out.

Even the car moving is fascinating to her. Sheila doesn't say a word, only clings to her seat and looks around. Imagine that - a carriage that doesn't rely on horses.

Ash comes to a stop at the end of the parking lot and buckles her seatbelt. She learned to keep that one on the hard way.

She then reaches over for Sheila's seat belt. "Don't freak out."

"Freak out?" she repeats, a hint of confusion to her voice. "Oh." Sheila glances down to her lap. Just what exactly is going on there? Hands and lap and... oh. "What is this, m'lady?"

"It's called a seat belt," she says, pulling it over Sheila and clicking it in place. "Keeps you from going through the windshield. Which I've done before. Not fun."

"Seat belt," she replies, nodding. "Alright." She can go for that. She sits back, her head resting against the back of her seat. She keeps her hands folded in her lap and sits rather still... although one could see her feet idly tapping against the floor.

Ash listens to her tapping as she turns out of the parking lot and heads for the more 'scenic' route back to her place.

And by scenic, she means longer.

"Looks different, huh?"

"Oh yes," she replies, nodding earnestly. "This is all so very different. Thine castles are quite small. But not as small as huts. And there are no forests? Or even trees?" There she goes attempting to stick her head out the window again as things go by, only being stopped short by the seat belt around her waist.

"Don't do that!" Ash says, reaching over and pulling her arm. "Sticking your head out the window of a moving car is not really a good idea."

"There's forests, but you have to go a little ways out of town for one."

Sheila bites her bottom lip, frowning as she settles inside the car again. "'msorry, m'lady."
