ashsexual - Day Off

Despite the sun streaming in through the bedroom's lone window, Ash curled up closer to her pillow. It was her day off and she was trying her best to sleep in for as long as possible.

Unfortunately, her body usually only give her an hour leeway between her usual sleep scedule and she grumbles as she finally wakes up.

But hey, it's not all bad...

"Sheila?"

"Prepackaging is pre-made food," she says, taking a long sip of her coffee before putting the cup back down. "You buy it, store it until you want it, open up the package, and then follow the instructions on the package on how to prepare it."

Such an eloquent explanation, she knows.

"Surely food that sits will spoil," she replies, quirking an eyebrow. "What manner of magic is this?"

"Preservatives and refrigeration, babe," she says, jerking her metal thumb in the direction of the refrigerator.

"Fascinating!" she repeats, smiling.

"Though, don't stick metal in the microwave," she warns. "The one on the counter is one Scotty had to buy me after he stuck a fork in my last one."

"Are there any other materials not suitable for the microwave?" she asks, resting her chin in her hand as she listens to her lesson.

"Any sort of wrapper," Ash answers after some thought, thinking of the time Scotty accidentally made her apartment smell like burnt plastic for two weeks. He was officially banned from using the microwave after that. "And small animals. Though I doubt you'd stick small animals in the microwave."

"Of course not, Ashley," she replies, giving her a slight smack to the arm. "I would never. Unless - of course - they were required for food..." She makes a face. "But in this day and age, I suppose your connotation of hunting is quite different." Yes - it confused her when Ash had used the word and then hit the nearest fast food place early in the week.

"Yeah," Ash says, scratching her head, remembering that incident. "Not a lot of people hunt for food now. Especially not in Dearborn."

She giggles. "I could understand that, yes," she says. And when she's finished with her coffee, she sets it down on the table and returns to her spot curled up against Ash's side.

Ash puts her other arm around Sheila and hugs her close, her head resting on top of Sheila's.

Lifting her chin, she presses a small kiss to Ash's mouth and then smiles.

Ash smiles against Sheila's lips. "I've told you I love you, right?"

Sheila answers her question with a nose bump and then an Eskimo kiss.

Ash chuckles a little before pressing a kiss of her own to Sheila's lips.

Sheila feels her cheeks warm, the kiss turning her the slightest hint of pink. Ash gets her every time.

There's a slight smirk from Ash. "You're blushing..."

That only worsens it. She bites her lip, trying to cover up the fact by burrowing into the crook of Ash's neck.

Ash giggles as she moves her good hand to lift Sheila's chin. "You're cute when you blush, baby."

Sheila giggles softly in response, moving to playfully kiss at the hand touching her chin.

Ash laughs a little bit as Sheila kisses her hand. "That tickles..."

She then cups Sheila's cheek in her hand as she moves in for another kiss.

She meets her halfway, giggling more as she presses her lips hard against Ash's, her arm draping over the other woman's shoulder.

Ash moves her hand to brace against Sheila's arm. She opens her mouth a tiny bit to allow Sheila to deepen the kiss as she tilts back onto the couch.

Sheila makes a soft noise and melts into the kiss. She's a bit timid at first, but her lips part and she lets her tongue explore. Her arms wrap around Ash's shoulders, and she moves onto her knees to get better leverage.

Ash props herself up with her right arm as she matches Sheila's kiss. Her good hand runs through Sheila's hair before she moves it to the back of Sheila's neck.
